Mouse Love

Hello Followers :)

Today I have an adorable little card for you.  The challenge at MelJen's Designs is to use hearts, and at Paper Playtime, it was an anything goes challenge. So I decided to combine them together to make my card.

The base of my card is pink shimmery cardstock. It was the Gemstone line and then the pink heart paper behind the image is from Archivers. The swirl paper was in a mat pack I got a few years ago.  I colored the image with colored pencils and then used the odorless mineral spirits to blend it.  I added liquid pearls to the swirls for some dimension.  The ribbon is stuff my mom made for me.  If you want some I have lots.  Just send me a message and we can work out a trade :)  I did some dashing with gel pens, and added some liquid pearls.  The image is from MelJen's Designs.  The sentiment is from K Andrew Designs.

Cricky Simply Sunday Challenge FantasyLand

Good Afternoon Ladies or Morning or Evening :) depending on where you are.

Today I am bring you a new Getting Cricky Simply Sunday Challenge.  We were asked to create something for Fantasy Land.  It was so fun. I have so many ideas running through my head when we got this assignment.

Here is my take on it.  This was my very first step card :)  Looking back I should have made my castle a little higher up, but I like how it turned out. The princess, castle and dragon are from Paper Doll Dress-up. The face is from Peachy Keen. The wonderful Susan from Cricut and Grasshopper let me use her stamps. You should check out her blog she just had it redone and it looks adorable.

FREE MINI HEART set with VALENTINE bundle or $25.00 purchase - Click Image to CloseThe sentiment is from K Andrew Designs and it was her free set if you bought her Valentine's sets or spent $25. I absolutely love it.  I stamped the key and embossed it in gold, and cut it out and attached it to the dragon.  It stamped the sentiment and punched it out in heart from.  The papers are from Archiver's and then I just did a little dashing on the card.  I hope you enjoyed the card and come join us in the Simply Sunday Challenge.

Challenge project

Hi!
I have been trying to get back to doing challenges, sometimes my head is spinning and I just trying to get stuff done around the house and we have to make a trip to see my Father-in-law who is having surgery, so it is crazy. See my long crazy sentence...lol

Anyway, at Erica's Craftroom Challenge  we were giving a color combo and a sketch.

So I came up with this....
The image is super adorable! It came from Cheri at DJ's Sundries she is my DT sister at Getting Cricky and she sent them to me. I love them. There are a few other cute Precious Moments ones and I will definitely be making more things with them.  I colored it with colored pencils and then blended. I used liquid pearls in pink and white around the edges of the papers.  The eye-lets are from Eye-lets Etc, if you haven't checked out their eye-lets you should. I love how easy they set.

Have a great day :)

New Challenge at Queen of my Craftroom

Hi!  Did you recover from all the awesome projects you saw that week?!  I can't believe all the talent I saw. I come to you today with a challenge.  Michelle at Queen of my Craftroom, just asked me to join her Design Team and the new challenge was just posted today.

We needed to make a stamped image card with NO machines.

I made the card base, and then attached a scrap piece, then I wrapped some twine around it. Added the image and some buttons. The stamp was prestamped on some papers I got at a garage sale, a few years ago, so I know nothing about it.  I colored it with my colored pencils and then used odorless mineral spirits to blend. The sentiment is from K Andrew Designs  It is from the Crafty Friends set.

That was it. Please join us in the Queen of my Craftroom Challenge.  Have a great day.

So here is my project.  I saw a painted starbucks bottle and thought it was cool, but they has used alcohol inks.  I don't have any of those but...
I have some artist flexible acrylic paints.  I painted the whole bottle white and then added red and just mixed it all together to make the swirls.  After it dried I tied the ribbon on, and then added a paper strip around the side of the lid.  I cut patterned paper and used a border punch. The next layer was solid and I embossed it with dots, another layer of pattern, a layer of solid and then  I stamped I'm Sweet added a heart and liquid pearls.  Easy project.  I hope you enjoyed it :)

K Andrew Designs Preview Week Day 5

Last day of the preview are you all super excited!  I am in awe of all the beautiful projects that I have seen this week.  I have a list of stuff I want to try now. Thanks a lot to all my DT sisters! Like I don't have enough things to make :)
I am kidding, but I am really inspired by all these ladies.

Today I wanted to make a card, and this image was so perfect for this week.  It is also going to be my entry into the Paper Shelter design team call.

Sorry about the pictures it was too cold in my basement to take pictures.  I took this image from The Paper Shelter and colored it with colored pencils and odorless mineral spirits.  I cut it out and then glittered its wings and honey.  The yellow paper is embossed with a honeycomb.  It was a Fiskars Texture Plate.  I cut the edges with a scissors.  I used an A2 card base, dashed the edges, attached a white piece of paper and then eyed Eye-lets Etc eye-lets in the corners.  I dashed around the yellow paper with black.  I took my ribbon and accordion folded it across the paper.
Make sure to check out all the other fabulous projects and join us tomorrow night at 9 pm EST for our Getting Cricky Blog Hop.

This was another scraps project. The cool thing is the butterfly and twine come off because it is a necklace!  I covered the card base and then just cut a few shapes for the card.  Added some dashing, stamped my sentiment and that was it.  Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezie!

Have a great day and come back tomorrow.

K Andrew Designs Preview Day 3 and Link Up with Love

Hi Everyone!!

I hope you are enjoying seeing all the awesome things my DT sisters have been creating. Today the link up with love have to be a Valentine's theme, so I thought of Love. Love is definitely a Valentine's thing.

I found these ornaments at Target in the Christmas Clearance.  I took the gold string out and put in the pink ribbon.  I took the word Love from the K Andrew Designs set Winged Things.  I just stamped the word love in Stazon ink all over the ornament.  Then I added bling in between the words.

K Andrew Designs Preview Week Day 2

Hi again.  Are you excited for todays project, if not you should be.  I went completely out of the box with this card.  You think of Winged Things, and it is butterflies and bees, but I wanted to do something different.  A friend of my husband's is in Afghanistan, and we are making him a care package.  I wanted to send him a special card.
I used all scraps for this card, the image is from MelJen's Designs, and I used Eye-lets Etc eye-lets on the card.  All the stamps are from Winged Things I just had to mask the word "the" because in the set the stamps says "are the".   I cut the image out and then ran it through my sticker maker so it would stay on the card.

I am  also going to enter this into the MelJen's designs Anything Goes Challenge.  I will see you tomorrow for the Link up with Love and project number 3.

K Andrew Designs Preview Week Day 1

Hi!
I am super excited about this weeks projects. We had a challenge in the Getting Cricky Design Team to pick one set of stamps and use it all week for projects.  Just to see how many different ideas we could come up with. Friday's project will be a Valentine's project, and everyone has such fabulous things to share this week.

Without further delay...
I chose the set Winged Things

Here is the project I made.  The red cardstock, and striped paper is from Eye-lets Etc, and so are the heart eye-lets.    I embossed the red background paper and then added a little stickles for some glitter.  The hearts are chipboard from Maya Road.  I painted the red and the pink kinda splattered and I decided I liked that look.  I glued them together and added some liquid pearls on the hearts.
I am loving the versatility of the set.  I can't wait til you see my other projects. :)  This is also my entry for the Simply Sunday Challenge.

Have a fabulous day!!

PS don't forget to check out my 100 follower giveaway. :)

Fishing Tom Cat

Hi!

I loved working on this challenge.  MelJen's Designs had a challenge to use stars.  I thought it was a fun challenge.  The love this kitty fishing I think he is so cute, he minds me of the old tom cats from Tom and Jerry :)

I colored him with colored pencils and then blended with odorless mineral spirits.  I picked all striped paper in orange, green and blue.  I wound around the card with my homemade twine.  The stars were cut from a die at Archivers.  I added some stitching with some pens, added some bling to the stars, and then stamped Thanks on it with purple ink.  The thanks is from K Andrew Designs Winged Things set.

Getting Cricky Simply Sunday Challenge "Its a celebration"

Hi Everyone!
Welcome to the Getting Cricky Simply Sunday Challenge. This really was a challenge for me. We had to make a card for a celebration. I couldn't figure out what to do for it, but as soon as I saw my new stamps, I realized this is what I wanted to do.

close up of sentiment

close up of butterfly
I used yellow sparkly cardstock to cover the frame. Then scraps to punch the purple and green scalloped circles. I stamped the sentiment, frame and butterflies in purple ink.  I used the set K Andrew Designs set Winged Things.

I glittered the butterflies and frame in clear stickles, then used gold stickles to dot in the scalloped circle, and finally I used silver stickles to dash the inside and outside of the frame.
